The African Spoonbill is a long-legged wading bird. Its height is 90 cm (36″). Its body is predominantly white, except for its red legs, face, and bill. Its wing is 365-403 mm long.
The Great Argus is native to the Malay Peninsula, Borneo and Sumatra. It inhabits woodland, deciduous forests, tropical rain forest and grassy areas.
This small frog grows to about two inches long and is immediately recognizable for its brilliant green colors, amplified in intensity by a black background.

Twilight Tours
Ever wonder what the Zoo is like once the visitors leave and the gates close? Join us Saturday evenings to find out! Just as everyone else leaves the Zoo, you will be guided by educators on a two-hour walking tour to learn about and visit with some of the Zoo’s most intriguing animals. Watch some of our animals prepare to sleep, while others are just waking up. Learn about the animals’ biology and behavior, and the role that the Zoo plays in the conservation of our endangered species.
