MEMBERSHIP Q&A
We offer four easy options:

Membership card(s) and privileges are not transferrable to other individuals. To prevent misuse of membership cards, and to protect the rights of our members should their cards be lost or stolen, we ask to see a photo I.D. from the listed cardholders at the time of your visit.
No, only the two named adults may use the membership cards. If you would like to bring a guest, you may upgrade to one of our premium levels or purchase an admission ticket or membership for that person. Non-resident guests without military I.D. can receive $4 off general admission when attending with a member.
The caregiver must be listed on the membership to gain access to the park with the children. If such is not the case, the caregiver will need to buy a day pass for themselves and any of the children above the age of two.
*A caregiver may not use the guest adult on a premium membership unless the adult card holder is present.
No, your children and guest (if applicable) must be accompanied by an adult named on your membership card. Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied at all times during their visit to the Zoo. Only adults 18 and older may be listed as a member.
Memberships are non-transferable and are valid only for the person whose name appears on the card. These names can be changed only during membership renewal. Memberships may be renewed at any time during the year.
If you do not have a Photo ID when you check-in, you will be required to pay the General Admission fee of $10.
Gift Memberships, also known as “Lucky You”
Gift Membership can be purchased:

How to Redeem your gift membership (Lucky You):
- Once you receive a “Lucky You” email, please go to the membership window and present your photo I.D. (required for entry every time).
- Your membership is active from the date of purchase and is valid for one year.

The Honolulu Zoo Society Membership Department is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates.
As a new member, you will receive an email from alerts@museumanywhere.com. Please allow up to 48 hours for this email. If you do not receive it,you can also download the digital card at the membership window.
We do not have any reciprocal agreements with any other zoo or organization.
You may purchase a membership at the membership booth and then take your receipts to receive a refund on the adults and children covered by the membership to the General Admission Booth. *Adult IDs may be checked for refund.
Note: All refunds for general admission must be done in person on the SAME DAY before 2:15 p.m. at the General Admission Booth.
No. Memberships are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may not be shared between households. Your annual membership starts from the moment of purchase. Memberships cannot be refunded (partially or fully), downgraded, pro-rated, or extended after purchase.
All members receive a 10% discount off food at our Kapahulu Market, regular priced merchandise at our gift shop, and some of our great education programs.

DIGITAL MEMBERSHIP CARDS
You will receive an email from alerts@museumanywhere, when you sign up as a member. Please allow 24-48 hours after purchasing or renewing your membership for your information to update in the digital membership card system.
You can also download your digital cards at our membership booth.
Upon purchase/renewal, your membership is active immediately and you can start visiting the Honolulu Zoo right away. Just present your Photo I.D. when you check in at the membership booth.

Yes. Only adult members listed on a membership can install the eMembership Card app and download membership cards. Both members listed on the account will need to enter their membership number or the phone number listed on the account.
Yes. To verify member admission, we ask that members show their digital membership card and a valid photo ID for admission.
Yes. After your membership renewal has been processed, your digital card information will automatically update with your new expiration date within 24-48 hours. There’s no need to make any updates or changes in the eMembership Card app.
