Position Title: Zoo Animal Specialist III (Mammals)

Location: The Honolulu Zoo is located in Honolulu, Hawaii, right across from beautiful Waikiki Beach and close to the slopes of famous Diamond Head Honolulu, Hawaii

Date: We are accepting applications for a Zoo Animal Specialist III (Mammals) on a continuous basis until needs are met.
Responsibilities: Current vacancy serves as a Curator of Mammals for the Honolulu Zoo, performs professional work, supervises zoo keeper staff and has immediate responsibility for the daily activities of assigned zoological exhibit area; conducts zoological research and develops public service programs; and performs other related duties as required.
Requirements: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in zoology or a related biological science and two years of professional experience in animal exhibition, care and management work at a zoo or zoological park.
License Requirement: Valid Hawaii State driver’s license (Type 3) prior to appointment.
