Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11 A.M. the new Ectotherm Complex will be blessed and Mayor Kirk Caldwell will be officially opening it to the public.
That means from 12 P.M. on Monday you will have the opportunity to come to the zoo and brag to your friends and loved ones that you visited the new Ectotherm Complex at the Honolulu Zoo!
Wait – the new WHAT? Ectotherm. Stop thinking and just Google it!
This complex replaces the Reptile House many of our members knew and loved. This is the first new exhibit to be opened in the Honolulu Zoo in recent years and everyone is excited to see our Burmese Python, Elongated Tortoises and Giant African Snail out and on exhibit once again.
There are still pieces being completed, and new ectotherms (stop reading and Google it!) coming soon but the next time you come to the zoo, make sure and stop by and say hi to your favorite ectotherm! – Oh just admit it, you did have to look it up.
